Job description

Role purpose:

Lead a community and externally focused team to develop FareShare Yorkshire's Outreach work, proactively engaging with and developing the services of Community Food Members and partnersworking towards our vision:

"To improve the wellbeing of people in Yorkshire and see an end to Food Insecurity in our region."

To do this, the Head of FullCrumb Community will:

  • Work with the CEO to set and deliver the Community strategy, working with a variety of cross sector stakeholders working towards the vision of FareShare Yorkshire.
  • Develop and manage relationships with partners, stakeholders, funders and the FareShare network and represent FareShare Yorkshire at meetings
  • Meeting regularly with your team and the CEO, sharing pertinent information and reports as required.
  • Work with in a way that is in accordance with the Charity's vision, mission and values.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of materials to stimulate engagement to grow the FullCrumb Community area of work.
  • Ensure that FullCrumb Community initiatives and engagement opportunities are promoted to potential and existing partners.
  • Drive the development, and delivery of partnership working models of supported wellbeing, food access and employability services with a range of partners.
  • Attend both virtual and in person meetings and make presentations to represent the charity.
  • Manage and report on data from community groups and feedback to the SMT to help improve and shape new provision and services.
  • Ensure the community team manages all enquiries effectively, make timely visits and callbacks to groups.
  • Manage CRM information using the charity's software and systems.
  • Support partnership work with local Councils, Food networks and
  • Voluntary Action groups.
  • To carry out any other duties which may be reasonably requested.

Health & Safety, Management, Data Protection

  • Uphold the highest Health & Safety standards to ensure staff and volunteers are kept safe.
  • Ensure compliance with all FareShare policies and procedures and industry standards as required by food donors and regulators.
  • Maintain, complete and safely store documentation, ensuring GDPR Compliance.
  • Line management of the FullCrumb Community Team.
